Where is the festival located?

  • Traders & Bands: Memorial Field, B1119, Rendham Road, IP17 1EA (Look for the water tower)
  • Public Entrance: Main gate on B1119 & Seaman Avenue Play Park

Is there disabled access and parking?

  • Disabled parking is very limited and must be requested in advance by emailing admin@saxmusicfest.co.uk – We ask that vehicles can drop off disabled persons at the main gates and park up locally.
  • Access to the site is via a hard surface suitable for wheelchairs and assisted walking equipment
  • The festival site is fairly level but may be harder to navigate than tarmac in some areas

Where can attendees park?

Public parking is available at the following locations:

  • East Suffolk Council, Market Place, Saxmundham, IP17 1AG (12-minute walk)
  • Saxmundham Community Hub, Street Farm Road, IP17 1AL (15-minute walk)

There is no parking at the event site. Attendees should respect local streets and neighbours when parking.

What are the nearest transport options?

  • Saxmundham Railway Station is close to the event. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation when possible
  • Please share transport wherever possible.

  • SaxFest operates as a contactless and cash festival. Food outlets may vary in their options.
  • SaxFest is a free entry event supported by grants, donations and sponsors.

Are there entry restrictions?

The arena is fenced off with a single point of entry for the public.

As a part of our insurance, licensing and safety protocols the following items can not be brought in or out of the festival grounds:-

Alcohol. Our license is not for offsite consumption and we will not allow alcohol to be taken in or out of the festival ground

Any glass containers whatsoever. We will not allow glass into the festival ground.

Cans of any type. We will not allow cans or tins into the festival ground.

Water in unsealed containers. You may bring unopened and sealed bottles of water into the festival area but no other bottles or containers will be allowed in. Free water is available within the festival grounds.

  • Under 25 Policy applies, have ID ready
  • Bag searches by trained security will be in operation
  • No glass/alcohol permitted on site
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at the festival. No other animals are permitted on site. While not required, we kindly ask that assistance dogs wear a harness or jacket identifying their role, if possible, to help our staff and volunteers support you more effectively.
